Support Letter!

Dear friend,

I have exciting news to share!

I have decided to step out in faith and go on the World Race: Gap Year.

World Race is program through Adventures in Missions*, which is an interdenominational nonprofit missions organization that focuses on the relationship between the Lord and His people, as well as discipleship and prayer. It has brought over 100,000 people onto the mission field, and I am honored to be one of these people come September 2020. When this time comes, I will travel to Ethiopia, Eswatini, and Cambodia, and I will live in each country for 3 months. Although each day in each country will look different, some of the work my team will be doing involves: ministering to children that have been orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic and serving at-risk children and adults. We will do this primarily through teaching English, reforestation projects, and just building relationships with individuals and being a friend. I am beyond excited for this incredible opportunity. I truly feel that the Lord has called me this year to step out in faith in this journey and be transformed as I serve Him and others on a global level. Growing up on the mission field has instilled within me a love for missions and being part of World Race Gap Year would allow me to discover more of and cultivate that on a deeper level. 

So what’s the coolest part? YOU have an opportunity to help me get there! There are two easy ways to become a partner of this journey:

Prayer:

1. For the members of my team and I: that a beautiful community of trust and encouragement would be built; that each of our gifts we would work together to glorify His name. 

2. For the people we will encounter. Pray that even now the Lord would begin to prepare the hearts of those we meet to be receptive to what He wants to say to them through us.

3. Over the number $15,800. That is the number I need in order to be a part of this journey, and money should not be a deterrent to God’s calling!

Financial Support:

1. I am asked to raise $15,800 in total. To go to training camp for World Race I need to raise $5,000 by June 10. That being said, please pray about financially supporting me through this trip. Any amount helps! My fundraising goal includes the costs of travel, lodging, food, training, and other costs while living abroad. I know that the Lord who called me to this journey is faithful to provide. In supporting this mission trip, you are able to be a part of God’s kingdom work as you enable me to walk out my calling.
